The world of fashion began for Ashlie Ming the moment she could walk. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and experiencing the world of sales, stylists and showrooms, Ashlie felt it was time to showcase all she learned. Starting out as an intern for a talented LA designer, she quickly learned her way around the design room, developing her own personal style. Her southern roots eventually called her back home and Ashlie made a bold move to the Big Easy and launched her fashion line, Blackout.
With the desire and persistence to see her vision of style leap into the conversations of all southern women, Ashlie joins NOLAFW with a fresh take on style and the limitlessness of imagination. Her line Blackout dares you to think of the boldness of blacking out to reach the destinations in your dreams and having your wardrobe match the adventures that you imagine! The Spring/Summer 2012 collection will focus on cool, relaxed silhouettes that you can literally pass out in. Stylishly beating the heat in fluid dresses, tops, and bottoms is what Blackout strives to offer every liberated woman. This collection will take every woman’s “basics” to a whole new level by placing extreme attention on fit and fabric ensuring the ultimate finished product.
